Over the years, the Foundation has furthered the postgraduate education of nurses in the five Tampa Bay counties with over $367,000 awarded. In addition to the usual awards, one cardiac nurse is chosen to receive the annual Alyce Rowswell Schroeder, R.N., Scholarship. The award honors a beloved nurse who, as the founding Head Nurse of the cath lab, established an outstanding standard of excellence for nursing care.
